description I'm a huge fan of this author's paranormal books. Especially the ones set in the South. I love how she incorporates the history of the cities. I am not crazy about the romances mostly because they always feel very underdeveloped. However, I don't read these books for the romances, so it doesn't bother me too much. Although, I wish she would stop using the word writhing in the sex scenes. It always makes me think they are in agony not ecstasy. (lol) Overall though this was another great book by this author, and the mystery kept me guessing until the end. So kudos to the author for that!

I love the Krewe of Hunter books and I loved this one.
Ms Graham can surely write a book that mixes paranormal, suspense and romance and this one was no exception.
I was hooked since the first pages and didn't want to put it down.
I liked the atmosphere, the likable characters, both human and ghosts, and the Savannah setting.
It was an exciting reading experience that helped in a moment when I felt really blue making me smile and root for the characters.
I look forward to read the next installment in this series.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Another great book in the Krewe of Hunter series! Kristi and Dallas are wonderful characters and one of the tiny things I loved the most is that this is actually a case where Dallas, who is Krewe already, gets sent to investigate. Don't get me wrong, I love how the Krewe recruits the main characters, but it is also nice to have an actual member go ahead and do what they do best. Additionally, this is probably one of the funniest book, especially in the first half. How Kristi and Dallas meet had me chuckling throughout. The mystery wasn't as difficult to solve as some others, but it was still a very good one and I enjoyed reading it. Loved everything about the book!

Story and mystery were good, but a few things were just too easy to be realistic. It was enjoyable just too "everything wrapped up perfectly" for my taste..

Not bad, and had a good gothic feel to it. It just felt awfully rushed in a few places, especially the end.

I have liked previous novels by Heather Graham but this one just didn't work for me. There was a lot of civil war history in this book that I found boring and didn't enhance the story in any way except word count. There was also many characters in this story and it was hard to keep track of them, especially since they all seemed on the periphery.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.

First time reading a book by Heather and I really enjoyed it.

The suspense and not knowing who done it til the end is what I love about about Thriller/Mystery books.

If you enjoy a good Thriller/Mystery book than this book is for you!!

The Summoning by Heather Graham was an enjoyable quick read. Graham has a formula that works for her and this is another book. Special power agent comes in meets special civilian there is some bad guys and they come together to solve the mystery before one of them dies. I am not criticizing by any means. Sometimes you need to pick up a book by an author you like and get what you expect. That is this book. I read it and enjoyed it. I will say it took me a second to figure who the bad guy was but I got there.

3.5 stars rounded to 4 for being exactly what I needed and expected.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin for the free copy. This is an honest review.
