honestly the only reason i'm giving it 3.5 is because i forgot to the do the review right after i read it. denise williams is an auto-read author for me and that goes for her short stories too.

I know it’s likely due to it being a novella and therefore much less time to really flesh out a relationship in detail but girl I cannot imagine uprooting my whole life for someone I barely know. Maybe the timeline was longer than I’m thinking it was, but still. Like I know Ben was wanting to quit his job to pursue full-time writing for a whole but bro really moved to be with this girl he’d dated for like 3 days max instead of moving to, like, IDK, the city his best friend lives in??? Could NEVER be me.
