Didn't care for the characters, didn't feel a romantic connection between them. Maybe not in the mood for it.
*3.5
denise williams was one of the first authors to get me into the romance genre with “how to fail at flirting.” it was one of the first romance books that i read and it will always have a special place in my heart.
while i loved this novella, i think it would have been stronger as a full book. it’s brevity was it’s weakness. there was so much that i felt like needed to be fleshed out. so many plot points got brushed to the wayside and we’re wrapped up just for the sake of the book ending. this could have easily been another 100 pages and i would have eaten it up.
with all that being said, it was a sweet story and i had fun reading it. i’m waiting to get the other two novellas through the library and i’m excited about what those hold.

This book was the exact length it should be.
Cute, short, sweet. Love a good pun and sometimes she (Denise Williams) sneaks them in at the best moments.

honestly the only reason i'm giving it 3.5 is because i forgot to the do the review right after i read it. denise williams is an auto-read author for me and that goes for her short stories too.
