First time listening to the audiobook; I love Stephen Fry. The way he reads Henry is perfect

This book is absolutely amazing. I sometimes have to put it down just to gape on how beautiful a particular sentence is. The prose is simply gorgeous. I had the best time reading it.
I understand how some peaople might be put off by how flowery it could be but, I persnally, and shockingly liked it. The only downside I can find is how much Lord Henry loves to talk (and he loves to talk and share unsolicited advise).
Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes! In a i-am-baring-my-soul-to-you-showing-you-my-most-precious-book-hoping-you'd-like-it.

¿Me gustó?

There is a lot to like about the book. I loved the premise: your sins manifesting themselves onto your portrait, while your own appearance stays impeccable and marvelous. There's murder, suspense and a few twists. However, I found the build-up and presentation leading up to these events to be lacking. I was never blown away or gasping for breath. As others have noted, the book is rather 'chatty' and long-winded. It's a far cry from novels like Crime & Punishment; however, I still give it 4 stars and say it's worth the read.
