There is naturally a lot more self-discovery and character development in this volume with the reader now introduced to the characters. This one more than the last I wish had more issues to develop over as parts definitely felt rushed in comparison. I'm late to this round of The High Republic: Adventures and I think directly following up on vol 1 with the remaining issues probably went against this book. Tolibao's art style brings a different feel to the characters and while I loved the double page spreads, I missed Bruno's feel for the characters. It has to be said that Older has written several of my favourite HR comics and I love the cast he has created for this run!
