I liked this book but i was also really agitated because of all of the miscommunication. I understand that it was the whole point of the book and it showed a more realistic side of love and overall people’s lives. The author achieved what she wanted us to hear and I appreciate this book, but the miscommunications really angered me🥲😃

3.75. Would read again, personally.
This book had me immediately invested in the persona that is Graceland Star. She is flawed, messy, and wonderful. There are times where I found myself getting annoyed with her, but only because she was young and insecure, which were reason enough, considering her past.
Mathias was your average guy next door, and a total sweetheart. During the time jump, you do get to feeling bad for him with how things ended up way out of his control, but I believe he handled everything beautifully.
Elizabeth can kick rocks

I ate this up in one mf sitting . Right person wrong time ? Sign me up bc I was on the edge of my seat. Second chance romance ? Lord, I’m beginning to love those . The plot twist at the end ?! Straight crying . Emotional wreck. 5 stars bc it made me feel again

I’ve been reading a lot of depressing books lately, so I think I owed it to myself to read a romance book.
Before We Were Strangers is beautifully written love story that will have you falling in love with the characters and have you rooting for their happily ever after. I definitely found myself completely immersed in this story and could not put it down, I would overall give it a 4/5
