I really really loved this, the chapters are so short yet so gripping, I kept finding myself saying “ok one more chapter” over and over
Other reviews claim that it’s disjointed but I disagree, I read this in large chunks and felt like I was Tarzan swinging from story line to story line but it was executed very well
The ending was a bit rushed in a dramatic way but I can’t complain more than that

Was a 4.5 but knocked it down to a solid 4. I think I'm a dumb for not fully understanding the ending but it seemed there was some loose ends. It was thrilling towards the end and kept me on my toes. Just wish it would've ended a different way?

I don’t really even understand how to describe this book. I thought that the concept was good, but the two storylines were nearly COMPLETELY separate with no real interconnection. It confused me because why should we have these two storylines that don’t really lead anywhere? It was just so odd.
The Harrison family plot was kind of disjointed and didn’t really make that much sense by the end, specifically with the connection of Ruth and Gavin being father and daughter. The whole thing was so random. I was under the impression that Peyote was actually Phillip but no, he was some random Harrison from the 1930s. Also, Calamity’s backstory was…definitely not something I was interested in. Too much information about her that doesn’t lead to anything.
