This book was recommended by a wonderful group of ladies in The Booksterhood. Lately I have been going in blind. All I knew that it was a dark romance and I am kind of new to this genre, this year at least. I was not expecting for this book to be so good.
It's about revenge. You have Lex who was getting revenge on Wren’s father, so he kidnaps her! What he doesn't expect is that Wren had been in training to defend herself, something her father put into place. She knows her father is in dirty business but that is the extent of what she knows, so when she is kidnapped, she figures it's because of her father. Although she put up one heck of a fight, she still gets taken.
The chemistry is fire! I mean the lust/hate between Wren and Lex is so hot! They can't stand each other but want each other at the same time. I love the banter between the two. Wren is freaking crazy too, I mean she gives as good as she is getting and I am here for it! Two psychos going at it and it's so good.
There is a story here too because there is alot that Wren finds out about her family while held captive and the author just did an amazing job with this being her first book which totally shocked me.
This ended on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to start book 2 which is already out! I would definitely recommend this book! Keep in mind, it's a dark romance so read trigger warnings.

Just ok. Writing was ok. Spice was pretty good. Will see where it goes.

What a wild ride! Twists and turns and that cliffhanger! The characters are likeable and I loved them. I loved Wren and her attitude. I loved Lex and his need to protect and love Wren. When that cliffhanger hit I ran and grabbed the second book. Overall very entertaining!
