This is the second book in this series of shifters. Nate and Kristy are panther shifters from different clans. They have a history as children then a connection that is more recent. Kristy knows that Nate is her mate, she knew a long time ago. It took me a bit to connect back with this story after the other one. There was a lot of sex in the first chapters and I was distracted from the story line until a little more history was injected into the book. Kristy has some recent tragedy and Nate is such a typical bloke you want to shake him to wake up. Will they make it in their relationship and get back together? Like the last book the opening chapter grabs your attention, maybe not in a good way for some as it was quite brutal. It was necessary for the story line and hopefully you've read the first book to understand.
I enjoyed the references to the surrounding countryside (it's my world for real). Thanks to the author for another true blue Aussie yarn. Maybe some of those big cat sightings in country Victoria are shifters!!!!
