I listened to the audiobook & the narrator Danny Campbell was soooo good. He was the perfect person to play Abe! This book was creepy & weird & I loved every second of it. Noted: horror books should be listened to at night in the dark, then you know if they're really scary or not. My only complaint with this book is that most of the voices of characters sounded the same & didn't fluctuate much which made it a little hard to follow along at times.

You cannot imagine the amount of love I have for horror books, and this year I read many of them. The most interesting thing is that I read this to see if it fit my Magnus Archives horror recs prompt for the Lonely, and it absolutely did. If you are a fan of horror stories, fishing, old tales and stories about grief and loss, this is for you, and you will enjoy it to the fullest.

P.S German is such a nice language for dark fantasy names and terms
