Absolutely delightful! I didn't want this to end. I cried, I laughed, and at times I put the book down, closed my eyes, and lost myself wondering about the characters and life in Little No Horse.
Erdrich is a master storyteller!

I never quite know how to start breathing again after I finish one of Louise Erdrich's books.

This was my first introduction to Loiuse Erdrich. The book is an ambitous read in that it is long and filled with a plethora of complex characters. However the writing is simply masterful and exqusite. The story is told over the lifetime of the main character and is beautifully written and poetic. I look forward to reading some of her earlier works.
