I liked this book for its humor and relatiability. She deffinatly puts in an effort to connect with her audience.

This book was cute. Definitely not my favorite I’ve ever read for a self-help type of book. I think I would’ve liked this more in my early teens/late teens or even like 20 to 22. Again it was cute!

This was a solid “meh”. The comics were super cute and it was relatable but it was all VERY OBVIOUS advice. I wouldn’t recommend it to people but it was kind of funny and quick. I also don’t 100% agree with all of the advice but maybe that’s just me.

An amazing read--pretty quick, but honestly so good. If you need a pick me up, or in the throes of dating problems, I suggest this book! I've loved these comics for years!

This was a great book and an easy read. The author goes through her relationship mishaps in such a lighthearted why that inspires you to keep trying to date even if you are very unsuccessful. The art is hilarious, makes the book 10 times better.

I've been following @butlikemaybe on instagram for awhile and loved reading this and hearing some of the stories behind her doodles! Relatable, cringe worthy, and funny throughout and uplifting at the end.

I started following @butlikemaybe on instagram a few years ago and fell in love with her comics about daily life in NYC. When I heard she was releasing a book, I expected it to be a comic book, similar to her IG account. And although it was similar, I did find the stories in her book to be a bit unrelatable at this time in my life. I think if I was in my 20s, then this book would have been far more relatable to me and I would have loved it, but given where I’m at now, I give this book a 3. The book was an easy read, it was entertaining, and it was funny, but I don’t feel like it offered me any applicable advice or things I should consider as I stumble around the dating world as well. I’d recommend you follow her account, and check out her stores (they're the best), but I wouldn't not say this book is a must-read. However, if you like books like Chelsea Handler, where a girl is telling stories about her dating woes, then you might as well support @butlikemaybe and check out this book.

Nothing like reading other people's cringe stories!
