thought it was an interesting take on autism and love that it was written by a talented, autistic, australian woman. i thought this book captured the condition quite well with so many different overlapping thoughts. but it was too slow paced for me. thank you for the read!

The nameless protagonist is neurodiverse, a viewpoint I have never read from before. Her whit, openness and honesty is refreshing. All of her anecdotes made me reflect on my own experiences in life, especially with ex-partners. It is all mostly internal dialogue, with parts of conversation weaved in; but my favourite character (feline companion) was definitely Porkchop! All I would change is for it to be longer, as it is set in one night. I wish I could’ve known what’s in her future!

I very much encourage you all to grab a copy and check out the UK cover which is BEAUTIFUL 😍✨

Thank you to @scribe_uk for sending me this copy! #gifted
