This book is just ok. It tells the story of Queen Victoria's young days, her yearning to breaking free from her mother's hold, her secret infatuation with her Prime Minister to her struggle to be what her people expect her to be. But after Book I, everything else started to feel redundant and mundane. Besides reading about Queen Victoria's very early days, when she was newly crowned and adjusting to her new position, everything else was rather boring and worth skipping.

I’m not one who usually reads historical fiction but I liked the story of Victoria and Lord M. I thought it was well written and informative if you know nothing about the English royals.

Received an early readers' edition from St. Martin's Press.

Very good account (fiction based on fact) of Queen Victoria's first year as Queen. During this time she was indecisive about marrying. Eventually, she succumbs to pressure from her mother and uncle to marry her cousin Albert.

I did enjoy this a lot, though I had hoped to get a bit more info from it in comparison to the TV show, but that did not happen. at times Victoria seemed more childish than in the show, but that might be due to Jennas great acting.
I am now very interested in Queen Victoria.

Loved it! I'm impartial though because I love Queen Victoria and the show that this is based on (they follow each other extremely closely which is pretty cool). Just wish there was a sequel to coincide with the second season.

Easy mindless read. Was nice just to enjoy a quick book that was well written and not overly complicated to get through.
