For me, I gave this book an overall  3 stars review. I accidentally purchased this book, and was overall happy with the purchase after reading. My personal style is not usually romance,  and for me, probably why the writing style is so low for my grade, but with the steamier scenes,  it made it bearable.

I will admit, at one point this book did have me in tears, so it is a heart string puller. I'd relate the plot to P.S. I Love You,  with sexier scenes.

The writing style was not my particular writing style, because I felt like the font made the book seem longer than it was, at 400 pages. However, I was able to read this in only about 5 hours. So, I found myself wishing that the font had been smaller, allowing for more storyline, in the same amount of pages. As well as there were several grammatical errors the editing team missed, which unfortunately for me, makes me stop and analyze,  versus staying engaged (ADHD brain).

The characters were well developed, I just needed more of Adrian, I think. Overall, it was entertaining and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a quick romance read with a little bit of steaminess.

Author did a good job of wrapping up all loose ends.

The cabin is a book that I’ve read today because many blogger friends recommended it and I must admit I was intrigued to know why.
It’s not the first book with this plot and won’t be the lat for sure but it still touched me in many ways. Think PS I love you and Post Scriptum combined. It’s a romance that happened because of someone else’s love had no limits and wasn’t selfish about his destiny.
I’m going to leave it at this because if you are in a mood for a great angsty romance story, this one is the perfect book to read.

Immensely Powerful Love story!

Unique story that hurts so good! After sitting on this story for months because I knew it would bring the pain, I am so glad I finally jumped in, heart first. I could not put it down and read the entire book in one day. It was riveting and had me bawling at times but the words were so beautiful it was almost sweet torture.
Absolutely a 5 star read that I only give to books that move me deeply and bring all the feels. My 1st read from this author and it will not be the last!

This book was good but it was supposed to be a recommendation of a very sad romance novel that would make me cry like a baby and it wasn’t that. I mean I still cried, but not nearly as much as I anticipated.

“The art to living is hard to learn, there’s grief and loss and sorrow and pain, but there’s also joy and fulfillment and meaning, and you can’t have one without the other.”

3,5 - 4 stars.

This story is about love, and loss, and moving on after losing the love of your life.

It’s no spoiler that our heroine Nadia just lost her husband. So I knew this going in. But I was surprised that the first part of the story takes place in the last few months before Adrian’s death.

We get to know him and Nadia as a couple and I really didn’t want to get attached. You can see how much they love each other. And his death will definitely pull at your heartstrings.

And then exactly a year after his death Nadia gets a letter from Adrian and a key to a cabin he bought for her.

So up to this point I didn’t have much to dislike about the story. But part 3 was a bit of a let down.

I liked Nathan. He was kind, patient, and understanding. And I liked Nadia.

But I just didn’t feel their connection. I felt like the only reason Nathan was able to move on with Nadia was that Adrian made it easy for him.

The romance between Nathan and Nadia was a slow burn but it was more tell than show. The transition from neighbors to lovers was a bit sudden. I don’t know how to explain it. I felt like the pacing was a bit off. And the end felt a bit rushed. At least one more chapter before the last one would’ve made it better.

But overall if you’re looking for an emotional read give this a try. Check the tw before reading though.

The Cabin is a story of love, loss and the ability to move forward after losing the thing that means that most to you in the entire world, your soulmate. Adrian and Nadia are soulmates and so in love with each other, so when he finds out that he is dying from cancer he puts everything into place for Nadia to help her move on and continue to live her life.

This was my first book by Jasinda Wilder. It was an emotionally raw rollercoaster ride of emotions that struck extremely close to home. The unconditional love between Adrian and Nadia was so strong and heartbreaking when she lost him. The only issue I had was that I felt the story was a little slow and over descriptive for my enjoyment. This is a story where tissues are necessary.

Beauty like yours, love like yours…it deserves to be shared. Someone out there needs you, and you need them.
