Absolutely loved getting to know Haymitch's story and seeing familiar faces from the original trilogy with a bit more backstory shown. Definitely similar storytelling and formula to the original trilogy, so a bit repetitive in that way, and the games were very similar to the ones we know. But I had a good time, and OMG the last few chapters were so tearjerking. A must-read if you enjoyed the other books in the series! I would recommend reading this one last - having read Snow's story in A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes gave a lot of insight into his actions in this novel and then easter eggs into Katniss' story as well.
