Took me a while to get into this book, but overall I enjoyed it! Reading the Author’s Note at the back really put it into perspective for me: “my wish is that Tornado Brain helps neurodivergent readers feel more connected. Frankie sees the world in a unique way - I hope readers gain a new perspective from her story.”

The plot was a bit all over the place for me, I feel like the mystery vibe of it could have been drawn out more. It just felt like there were a lot of things to focus on and nothing felt really centered. But maybe that’s the point? Who knows. It took me a while to get into it, but I can appreciate it for what it is and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about neurodivergent people.

I’d also like to look into how neurodivergent people feel about this book. I’m neurotypical so there’s only so much I can say about this book, but I’d love to hear how others felt about it and if it is truly good representation or not.
