😭😭😭😭😭
God, this book made me cry so much 😭
It's a wonderful story, and yes, I laughed too, but it's also so sad.

Important, please check TW, because yes, it has some topics that could trigger some readers.

I instantly fell in love with both MCs. To be honest, when I read the first chapter, it needed a few minutes til I understood the headline "Ireland" wasn't a place, it was the FMC's name 🙈 Yeah, sorry sometimes Americans still shock me with their names 😎 Ireland is a tough woman. And yeah, she gets very impulsive, especially when she is very angry and has had a bit too much wine or whatever 🤣 I so loved her email. But I loved Grant's reaction too.
I'm a sucker for emails or text messages. Especially when they are angry and with this have a lot of bickering 🙈

It's difficult to describe Grant. He is a bit of a playboy, but not as much as other MMCs. Still, he hadn't had a relationship for a long time. And he doesn't want one, yeah, that's typical, isn't it?
He had a hard start in life. And when he just found a family, a lot of 💩 happened again 😭 As I said, I cried a lot.

It's difficult to say what I felt without saying the reasons why. But it has a HEA, and that's the only thing that's important in the end, right? 😍

Sassy heroine. She's very confident. And I love the way she plays and always manages to get on our hero's nerves and always keep him on his toes. I love how she's very self dependent.

Ireland Saint James comes from a very twisted family and a dark past but she's built herself back from scratch and now she's right where she's always wanted to be. Until she was wrongfully terminated from her job.

One drunken, sarcastic and roasting email from her to Grant Lexington —her boss's boss's boss a.k.a the president of her company, she manages to get her job back with a 15 percent raise and of course the attention of our all powerful, gazillionaire playboy.

Grant Lexington, who has had his fair share of a dark past is still drowning in it. Until he meets the quick-witted, feisty, strong-willed Ireland.

Sweet, concerned, emotional hero who feels a lot. I love how he's super strong and can be arrogant when he wants to be and still be so soft and sensible. I love him. And the way he gradually opens himself up to Ireland had me falling in love with him.

Together they embark on their love journey, packed with steam, chemistry, joys and tears. They face a few obstacles, share a few messed up stories, reveal a few dark secrets, but most of all they save each other and love each other at the end of the day, against all odds.

An highly entertaining and an addictive writing style, and I was basically hooked. It was so engaging and I know I've become a fan of this author's work for the writing alone. I'm definitely checking out her other books.

I mean, I literally gobbled down this 364-paged book in one night. That wouldn't have happened if the author wasn't awesome. And it certainly helped that the pace of the book was super fast and it was packed with humour as much as it was packed with palpitating romance. I don't remember having to skip a single line.

Although at some point it felt a little bit like Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James meets Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. And I don't mean the sexy times. I mean the storyline. And a few mutual character names had me reallying connecting the three stories together. Don't get me wrong, coz it's not a bad thing, so regardless of all that, I loved every single page of this book and it's a definite 5-star read.

Also, it's a known fact to never judge a book by its cover, but apparently you shouldn't be judging a book based on its title either. Because the title had me thinking this was a steam-filled, fun, quick-read, but damn it if it didn't have such a beautiful depth to it. The characters, the backstory, the storyline— it was all very touching, relatable and sometimes even beautifully heartbreaking.

I swear I didn't know this was going to be such a vividly heartfelt read when I picked up this book, especially since the title and blurb gave me the vibes of a light-hearted, vague-contented one. I didn't know I was going to love this book so much.

5 emotional stars

This is the story about Grant and Ireland. Grant is the CEO of the company that owns the news station that Ireland works for.
This story was so cute. Kind of an “hate” to love romance, in the beginning, but they starting liking each other really quickly.
This book ended up being really emotional and I wasn’t prepared for that.
Once again Vi Keeland does an amazing job!

Absolutely Beautiful!

Grant and Ireland’s story was riveting, beautiful and sexy. Another brilliantly written love story by incredibly talented Vi Keeland. Thank you for this beautiful treasure and for sharing such wonderful characters with all of us.

I'm currently down a Vi Keeland rabbit hole. This wasn't a bad book, but given her books are so outrageously formulaic, this one just wasn't a fave relative to the others.

Summary
Plot --- if you've read one Vi Keeland, you've basically read them all with minor switches in the jobs the characters have and the trauma the male protagonist is overcoming. In this case, we have Grant, a CEO of a large corporation that owns a news media division, and Ireland, an on-air news anchor. The plot starts off as fun, humorous and rompy but quickly turns into a corny and boring story with few stakes and originality. It's very white, very heteronormative, very traditionally gendered... very boring.
POV --- Duel
Main Characters --- 2/5 (which frankly may be just because I've read other books by this author and they are basically the same person in each book)
Supporting Cast --- 1/5
Romance satisfaction ❤️ --- 3.5/5
