This book got a little boring and the ending was the best I think it tyed up well. I did like that it was about world war 2 and gave me more depth about what it was like about that time. And the asthetic of the book of being in Paris was cool. The only thing was it was Long. And I think that’s the only problem I have with it it could have raped up sooner.

I just finished a book about a woman expectedly inheriting a Paris apartment, so I was hesitant to pick up a similar work so soon. However, there was no need to be because this book hooked me from the beginning! Throughout the book, we get chapters alternating from the present day, back to Paris in the 1940s. The story develops through the different chapters told by Lia, Estelle, and Sophie, and they intertwine in such a good way. I was on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what happened to each of the characters, what they would find, and how they would all connect. This book kept me engaged and even up past my bedtime on a work night! If you like historical fiction, this is definitely a good read! Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for a copy to review.

An apartment in Paris that has been sealed for 70+ years and full of incredible pieces of art... the beginning of The Paris Apartment drew me in with the exact right amount of mystery, uncertainty, and characters I wanted to know more. A dual timeline with multiple points of view, this book is full of strong females, women whose confidence and gumption we all want to have, and perfect pacing that keeps you turning the pages because you will not want to pause their stories.
With so many WW2 historical fiction books out there, I completely enjoyed that this is a different story with other perspectives than so many I’ve read.

Thank you to Grand Central, Forever, NetGalley, and Kelly Bowen for the gifted copy of this book! All opinions in this review are my own.

In The Paris Apartment, three women's lives are woven together.  In 2017, Lia is left a small painting of a house and an abandoned apartment when her grandmother passes away.  When Lia first steps inside, she finds a stack of Nazi magazines and piles of famous artwork.  Lia doesn't want to believe that her grandmother was a Nazi sympathizer, but she needs to uncover the truth behind this apartment and the artwork inside.

The other two women's stories are set in the 1940s.  Estelle and Sophie are motivated to do anything they can to fight back against the Nazis when they takeover their homes.

I loved this book!  I know there are so many historical fiction books set during World War II, but this one is phenomenal!  The Paris Apartment beautifully weaves these three women's stories together which culminates in a heart-wrenching scene at the end.  The modern day storyline added mystery to a historical fiction novel and I loved how they were able to all connect in the end.

If you are a fan of historical fiction, I highly encourage you to pick this one up!
