This was in my personal 15 Most Anticipated of 2023 based on the blurb and that gorgeous cover. 
I have to say, I feel a *tiny* bit duped here, because if there was truly hope in this "deeply imagined work of survival and suspense, grief and hope", I could not find it. 
This story was dark, and while I was absolutely here for it, I did not see the hope. Word of warning for some - this story is not linear. You will not have all your questions answered. And I think it works very well. 

And that ending? What the fuuuuuuuuuuck
