I adore this book, it's perfect for EYFS or a Reception class. I remember how much I enjoyed it when I was young because it's very silly and memorable with all of the items Daisy is promised by her Mum if she eats her peas. It would work well alongside a similar Charlie and Lola story to teach a topic based around healthy eating. The children could write shopping lists for food that they like and dislike and enjoy listening to everyone's different eating habits. They could draw pictures of their ideal meal and add sentences below to link to Literacy, Art and Science (teacher could then introduce the idea of getting a balanced diet). Children could also write their own mini stories or poems about their least favourite food and what they would need to be given in order to eat it. It would be a lot of fun.
A mom tries to bribe her daughter to eat her peas, getting more and more ridiculous. Kids will like it and laugh.
