it’s old, slow at times, and has some random unnecessary storylines, but raskolnikov’s theory is super interesting.

raskolnikov absolute mood bro was cooked whole book. honestly i probably shouldn’t say this online even though no one is gonna read this review but i’ve really been fantasising about killing people and this was like kind of relatable you know. like i haven’t killed anyone but like i’ve had thoughts similar to rodyas more often than i would like to admit

So I've actually been finished with this book for about a week now, but I just couldn't write a review; I was still processing. I mean this was phenomenal, I have no other word to describe it. This is definitely going on my favorites list - I just was so blown away be the writing and the characters, and I was so immersed in the world. The psychological aspect was so powerful, and I could barely take my eyes away from the book during some parts. I just got a box set of Dostoevesky's other books, and I am definitely looking forward to reading some more of his books. Also, I think this book has set me down the path of Russian literature, and I am so looking forward to this journey.
