beautiful writing, it makes everything I experience on the daily look breathtaking again. this was my first time reading Sri Lankan literature so I was pleasantly surprised! although, I don't think the book should be advertised as Saraswati's and Yasodhara's stories because we see more of Yasodhara's life than Saraswati's life. overall, gut-wrenching, sorrowful and honestly—felt a little too real lol, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
