10/10 This is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever experienced. The kind of book I wish I could experience for the first time, all over again. So heartbreaking, heartwarming - it breaks you down and builds you back up. Sam, Vic, Fella/Peter and Aggie are the kind of people the world needs more of. Absolutely loved it.

Some words that come to mind with this book (in order of how I felt): Sad. Heartwarming. Lonely. Stressful. Devastating. Happy. Brilliant.

Gorgeous, deeply moving, a very well written story. Very much a young adult read in terms of how it’s written and who it’s targeting- a bit too much telling for me at times, and a bit cliched.  But nonetheless I was very engaged in the story and flew through it.

I don't know the last time I was this emotionally invested in a book. It's such a hard read with so many heavy topics (check content warnings before picking it up), but it tells a really important story. It's also obvious at times that it's YA - just with the writing style and some of the more "caricatured" characters - but I think it's such an important book for young adults to be able to read and connect with. There were a million moments that broke my heart, but it also left me with hope at the end.
