This was extremely short, but a nice addition to the Maze Runner-universe.
As always, it's nice to know more about the characters, even if it's only a few pages set in his childhood.

Thomas's First Memory of the Flare picks up right where The Scorch Trials ended with Thomas locked in the white room.

It's sad that his first memory and experience of the flare—had to be when he was still a young child and still with his parents.

If WICKED is actually good, I can see why Thomas had wanted to be a part of it. So no child would ever have to go through losing their parents to the madness of the flare like he did.

This was only 3 pages, which was disappointing, and could have easily been included in The Scorch Trials.

Short story. The description of the flare and how its affects people still gives me the creeps.

The Flare really sucks. Maybe even more after this short 3 page story about Thomas' first memories of it... It fits the story really well. Those 3* are just because it isn't longer :D

This is not a book. It's only 4 pages, that could, or could not have been added to one of the other Maze Runner novels. This brief story recounts an old memory of Thomas'. Overall, it's a nice treat for fans who have completed all the other Maze Runner novels and wish to return to that world.

Very short, yet intriguing.
