I will forever love MHC. I miss the way she writes alone, this was a collaboration.

The entitled Wakeling family.

I do like Laurie and her dear friend, Charlotte!

Happy ending!

Even though I didn't like this book as much as the others in the series, I was still pleasantly surprised by what happened. I loved the setting and the way the producers tried to replicate the night of the murder. And of course, it was great to see Alex back in Laurie's life!

Every Breath You Take by Mary Higgins Clark & Alafair Burke. (4/5 ⭐️)

Laurie runs a TV show titled ‘under suspicion’ and she grudgingly decides to look into a cold case that her new co-host, Ryan has proposed.

the case - Ivan, a fitness expert, is suspected of killing his much older lover, Virginia Wakeling for her money. although no charges were ever filed, Ivan is desperate to clear his reputation.

so who killed Virginia Wakeling??? Laurie is desperate to find out.

i really enjoyed reading this book, although it was sort of predictable, it was a good one.

Excellent book as usual. Mary Higgins Clark has the ability to create twists and turns, that leave you hanging on every word.

This book was a pretty quick read for me. Though I’m sure it wasn’t one of their best books I still thoroughly enjoyed the writing and pacing throughout the book. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.
