The best Kindle First book I've read in quite a while
Scientifically implausible, to say the least. But if you can get past that, it's a pretty good read, if a little predictable in some respects.

Definitely held my interest, even if there were some flaws. I really liked some of the detail. Will read more of the series/author.

Unexceptional in so many ways - I made it through but while the basic premise was interesting and had potential, nothing spectacular is done with it. The twist of merged characters I saw coming from very early in the book, though it's not hard with so few characters defined. I saw nothing interesting about the narrator and felt we were given no character development. File this with all the other books I've gotten as a Prime member which makes me question Amazon's editors... are these all rejects that used to populate the discount bin??

Really like this book. First time reading Adam Southward. Had some really good pacing and characters nicely developed. Can not wait to read next book.

Intriguing
This book held my attention from page 1. An intriguing murder mystery, sometimes pretty graphic, but all in all a great read

You know how you read something and the author had a brilliant idea that just goes astray? Welcome to that book.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a disturbing psychological thriller that exposes a sick's man desperate attempt at revenge. Alex is drawn in to investigate a triple murder despite his long absence from practicing. He dives into the disturbing past of suspected killer Victor, who is thought to kill people by using hypnotic suggestions. His interactions with Victor lead to revelations regarding his mistreatment as an orphan in Romania.
I thought the scenes with Victor were creepy and scary. Who wants to be in the same room with someone who can control your mind? A definite page turner.

Good read. Reminded me a bit of an X-Files episode.
