Darius the Great is Not Okay is one of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s a beautiful coming of age story with compelling writing, witty jokes, well-written characters, and fantastic representation of Persian culture, LGBTQ+ relationships, and depression. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Darius’ character, perhaps because I relate to his feelings of disconnect from his culture. Each character helps Darius on his journey towards growth and healing all while having their own issues. It’s a book that focuses on Darius’ growth and the author manages to do so in an interesting and emotional way that left me wishing I could hug him and tell him that it’d all be okay.

Great story. The author should realize that he can put more than one sentence in a paragraph.
