An interesting and creepily insightful book written pre 9/11/01. John Corey is a the worlds only lovable misogynist. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Engrossing and hilarious. Corey is the man! Can't wait to read the sequel.

Still one of the best books around!

Very suspenseful. I liked the characters. Will read The Lion sometime now too!

3.5 star audio. Scott Brick always does a good job narrating.

Still a bit too snarky, John Corey. However, this book was far superior to "Plum Island"...and I really enjoyed the roller coaster ride. Wasn't quite thrilled with the end...but I really enjoyed the story. As usual, some was a bit far fetched....but, a good story nevertheless.

This book was very intriguing and kept me interested in the plot through the 20 odd hours I listened to it. I wasn't a fan of how much cursing was used but the story kept you engaged and trying to figure out what was happening along with Detective Corey. I was a bit frustrated with the ending but I'm ok with that because I know he wraps up loose ends with a book later in the series. If you like murder mystery/law & order type stories, you should check out this series!

This is the second DeMille book I've started. I finished and really enjoyed Plum Island. Not this one. Stopped midway due to overuse of vulgarity, and I'm usually not bothered by that. Very disappointed.

Should have been called The Lion's Big Book Of Clichés.
