This book was heartbreaking and inspiring and really well written. I did occasionally feel like the author was skipping around a bit, but I suspect that his transitions would have been clearer in written form. I'm not the most attentive audio book listener. Overall, I highly recommend.

Could have benefitted from more editing but overall informative view of the state of the death penalty in Alabama through powerful storytelling in each chapter.

I'm recommending this book more for the content than the presentation. Bryan Stevenson is a good enough writer to tell his story and that's the real reason you should read this book.
If you are interested in a battle front view of the problems with our criminal justice system, or are blissfully unaware of the problems, you must simply read this book.

Such a powerful book. Right up there with Dead Man Walking by Sister Helen Prejean. Bryan Stevenson is a wonderful, insightful author. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in social justice.
