If you want to bawl like a baby, get your heart torn to pieces, and put back together, read this book.

I'm a sucker for hockey romances. There's just something about them that always gets to me. And Tal Bauer is one of my favourite authors. Every one of his books is a journey that makes you feel so much before you turn the last page. When I found out there was a book that combined hockey romance with Tal Bauer's writing, I was not prepared for the pure magic that it was.

Gravity is such a beautiful story. From the first chapter all the way to the epilogue, Bryce and Hunter blew me away. Their love for each other, their team, the game they play, it's all so intense, and it sucks you in completely.

Bryce and Hunter are born and brought up in two separate corners of the world and the only reason they ever meet is because of hockey. But from that first moment, it's like a free fall into this instant connection that has no end. They just click, both on and off the ice, and it's like no one else exists anymore except for this person who just gets you so thoroughly and makes you so much more than you were before.

It's fast-paced, it's deep, it's heartbreaking and it's unputdownable. It's soaring high above the clouds and never touching the ground, and it's crashing so hard it feels like your heart isn't in your body anymore. This book takes you on a whirlwind rollercoaster and leaves you feeling like you're on top of the world.

I had tears streaming down my face for the final few chapters of the book and that ending? Utter perfection. I cannot stop gushing about this books and how wonderful this story of love and brotherhood and joy and growth truly is. But then again, this is Tal Bauer and Gravity is just another amazing story in a long line of books that you do not want to miss!

If you’re looking for a wholesome MM romance where the main characters break your heart a little but are unreasonably in love, this is the book for you.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I was not disappointed. Many of the descriptions in this book were written so well that I stopped many times just to re-read and appreciate the words. I found myself with tears in my eyes at several points throughout the book. Some tears because of sad parts and some because of the tenderness of a scene.

While some will say that the relationship between the two characters is unrealistic, I would have to disagree. I think that sometimes you just know when a person is right for you. Also, this is a fictional book so not every story can or will span over a longer amount of time. I loved this book and have recommended it to others!

this is a difficult review and i actually finished this yesterday but i still don’t know how i feel.
i can’t say that this is a bad book, but it’s not that good either.
i loved how the MCs met and even though it was a bit insta-love i still liked it. it worked.
i couldn’t really connect with either MC and the thing that bothered me the most was that they absolutely had zero back bones. they’re just smitten with each other. that’s it. i mean, i appreciate it, but i expect more.

it’s like the MCs for the most part don’t have friends or family, they have no past, they just exist in that moment with each other.
which again, i appreciate it, but not for almost the whole book.
like hunter never mentions a friend. never. he mentions his family twice in the whole book. are you okay hunter? i don’t think so.
bryce considers his teammates his brothers but they aren’t there for him when he plays bad. they’re not your brothers honey, they’re opportunistic assholes.

then i would like to talk about the absolutely dominating presence of the french language.
i can still remember french so i didn’t need to use a translator, but if i didn’t know french i wouldn’t have bothered to keep reading this. i’m all for using the characters’ first languages but this is a book written in english, if you add another language you have to write the translation.

these are a lot of negative things but somehow the book wasn’t awful. i even enjoyed it overall because i really think tal’s writing is beautiful but that alone isn’t enough to make me love this.
