Overly descriptive. Insta love. Dragged half way through. Felt disconnected to both characters. No mention of family or insight into the lives of side characters. Waste of my time.

Another gorgeous story from Tal Bauer.

Two men who are meant to be together. Found family. Brotherhood. And Ice Hockey.

Told from a dual POV of Bryce and Hunter.
These two men, for lack of a better term, are lovely.

Bryce is at the top of the professional hockey game. He's adored and beloved by his team. And they're on the verge of winning everything. But he sees beyond just the magnitude of his career to what he wants outside and sees he's missing something, and not fully acknowledging the truth about himself.

Bryce is Hunter's hero. And Hunter, while also a professional athlete, hasn't realised his full potential. He gets a chance to play with Bryce and it's as if they're made to play together. And maybe... be together.

As always, you can't trust this author to be gentle with your feelings, lol. His way with words is sort of magical as they tear through you while telling the story.

A beautiful read. C'est magnifique

Well written, and perfect for some readers, but stylistically unappealing for me personally. It was way to lovey-dovey. Too many declarations about love and devotion. Additionally, the plot itself turns into a cliché sports story with all the bumps in the road and heroic triumph you'd expect.
The book did move me to tears though, primarily because of the anatomy of a close knit team. The support and sharing of joy and grief was really moving. There is one horrific scene that I'll be thinking about for a very long time. I just wish the actual romantic elements were more to my taste.
