I have read the reviews and I read the story with an opened mind.
First, I agree about the French in the middle of a sentence. It was hard to focus on it with that. It you grow into and it make sense for the character.
However, I will say it’s a great story. I actually didn’t realize how invested I was until toward the end when I was tearing up while reading it.
I enjoyed the friendships and just the process of the story.
For my first book of this author, it was wonderful and really well done!

I was really enjoying this in all it's cute coziness with the occasional moments of angst, and then the injury happened. It was a bit too graphic for me. I still enjoyed the story, the couple was very cute and the friends and family accepting, but I couldn't go back to my previous level of enjoyment. I also understand almost 0 French so that got annoying.
