DNF 68%. It was good until the “angst” happened and then I just kind of found it over the top and too dramatic for what actually occurred. Idk, the guy just didn’t really seem to wrap his head around that this girl was poor and desperately needed money and would do anything for her family so she did what she needed to do. And honestly, I didn’t think it deserved what he did to her afterwards so

I’m going to make this review relatively short because I think this is the kind of story one should dive into without spoilers. It’s beautifully written, very emotional and it really strikes to the heart.
Olivia and Rhys are struggling, they both have big things weighing on them.
The characters both main and secondary are portrayed wonderfully, they are multidimensional and incredible.
The story shifts between two time periods which is completely necessary for the story in my opinion.
It’s a story of struggle, loyalty, love, survival, and it gave me all the feels!
I think this is a story and romance that will appeal to a wide audience.
The characters are so sympathetic, the story is heart wrenching and the good times feel so much bigger because of it. I LOVED it!
