Another short story in the Dead Djinn series, this one follows a young girl as she seeks the mysterious angel of Khan el-Khalili.

~3.5 stars, spoilers ~

A short story of a girl who goes to one of the so-called "angels" to ask for a miracle for her sister. The cost of the miracle is three confessions, weighty enough to pay for the cost of the cure.

i think among all other aspects, Clark’s angels stand out as particularly intriguing within the worldbuilding. unlike the djinn and ifrit, they possess a distinct cruelty and deceitfulness. they were not sent from heavens, they represent something altogether more sinister. great story <3
