It's not your average romance it s much more the heroin is going through ... well life. Also I love honest she is about her situation. I can't relate to but I know the pain.

Don't judge this book by its cover.

I started reading this because I'm in a somewhat slump. It's not at all what I expected (in a good way.)

A lot of spice, but also a lot of heavy emotions in a difficult story.

I'm hoping book 2 is out, because the cliffhanger was unexpected. No idea who or what I am rooting for (much like Laurie) but I definitely want to know how it ends.

This story felt real. From Laurie’s emotions, to the way she reacted to all the things life is throwing at her. The chemistry between her an Liam is great, I was a little disappointed in him in the end but was okay with where he story went.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review.

Well damn.... I was hooked. Want something to read after fifty shades....this book. Laurie is betrayed by her husband, he had a fling with her bestie. So there's some unfaithfulness in this book if that's a problem for anyone. She goes away for a couple of days to a conference for the company she works for and has a fling of her own. I felt the attraction between Liam and Laurie was combustible. Literally panty dropping hot alpha male...one that just wants your body now ...words not necessary. I wish I had gotten the next part since there a cliffhanger ending. I'd definitely continue on. Five hot stars for entertainment.

Great book but leaves you hanging

Great read until the end. The ending sucks period. And the reviews on the second book makes me not even want to read it. Highly disappointing after being roped into such a great story.

A departure from my usual tastes

There are pieces of this book that I enjoyed, but I’m not a huge fan of either the H or h. The h, Laurie, is understandably wishy-washy considering the situation she’s found herself in, but I hate when a h confuses phenomenal sex with ‘falling for someone’. Nobody is that naive, right? This guy is as closed off and secretive as a man could possibly be, so what is she falling for? The H, Liam, seems crazy manipulative to me. Cold and withdrawn when he doesn’t get his way vs. warm and comforting when he’s decided he wants more. That’s not sexy, it’s childish.

Now, there are some things that I really enjoyed about this book. I have to be honest, and I don’t care how petty it sounds, but I love a good rebound romance. When someone cheats, that is a deal-breaker, so I don’t have a problem with the h immediately starting a sexual relationship with someone else. I get it, and I applaud her for taking back her self-esteem and femininity in an extremely PLEASURABLE way. I’m also a fan of how she has handled interactions with the OW her husband cheated with. She doesn’t do drama, and she’s not a pushover. I really like that aspect of her character.

I am interested to see what happens in the next installment, and I’m hoping she takes the final step in cutting the husband out. I’m hanging on by a thread of interest in this series and I’m hoping that it doesn’t turn into a love triangle because that will snip that thread super quick.
