A fun read. It didn’t feel as crispy focused as Circe or as deftly told as A Thousand Ships, but nevertheless a welcome and delightful addition to the classics retelling that return women to their central places in the stories.

It was hard to get into. The characters felt flat and kinda annoying

Just wasn’t in the mood for this I guess - wanted something easier to read

men are the problem! in so many greek mythologies (and even in modern stories) we see the women take the responsibility and blame for the actions of the heroic man. this is very very prominent in greek mythologies (Medusa for example) and i enjoyed this critique of it. it was a critique written in story form. shows us how women, mothers, and wives have had to yet again, bear the consequences of the righteous and greedy men in their lives.

Just didn’t vibe with it
