It was quite a page-turner during the first hundred or so pages, but became incredibly annoying as I continued. This was mostly due to the fact that the book was almost relying on cliffhangers at the end of every. single. chapter. This abrupt stop and start of each character's storylines became very, very tedious considering this book has around 103 chapters in around 400 pages. I did LOVE each of the protagonists; they were so well-written they could have been real people, and I wouldn't be surprised. I, unfortunately, cannot get past the constant cliffhangers, and I almost DNF'd, though I'm glad I didn't. It is absolutely still worth a read if you enjoy the whole idea of finding "The One!"

What excited me about this book was the explanation of love as a choice, destiny, or science. I think it did a really good job of creating a world where you had to think and feel for these characters. Did their matches work because they chose them do or because of their DNA. I also feel bamboozled because the empathy I felt for some characters versus others really changed from the beginning to the end. I found this to be a fun read outside of my go to genres that made me think and I pleasantly enjoyed.

This book was extremely outside of my comfort zone. It had so many twists and turns. Some I saw coming and some I didn’t. I don’t even know how I feel after reading this. Too many emotions to put into words. This was one crazy story!

It took a very gory and graphic turn and I found myself very uncomfortable. Not for me.

My first John Marrs book and I really enjoyed it. Very interesting concept and characters. Maybe a little different from your typical “thriller”, but I still couldn’t put it down.
