Good God man, I love this series. The brooding men, the quirky spinsters... I love how modern they are and how each of the girls remain friends and become closer with each story.

I absolutely can't wait for the next one!

Just as the rest of the books in this series, this novel is a fricken good time.  The romance and the characters weren’t as beloved for me, but even though it’s my least favorite book in the series, it’s still so much fun.  I would recommend this whole series to anyone who just wants to giggle and swoon and get their daily seratonin refill.

  • “A five-year-old child can’t take proper care of an otter.”
  • “So you’ll leave specific instructions.”
  • She shook her head. “You may as well turn the carriage around now. This is not in the terms of our agreement.”
  • “You wanted a loving home. He’ll be adored.”
  • “Perhaps,” she said. “But not for himself. Not for the otter he truly is, deep down.”
  • Gabe pinched the bridge of his nose.
😂😂

I think this might be my favorite of Dare’s yet. And all of the ones I’ve read are funny, but this might be the funniest. Great Hero/Heroine. I absolutely loved the animals in this story as well.

All the stars for how this book lifted my spirits and filled my heart. A mood read gone very right.

If he ever permitted himself to love, he would love fiercely and without reserve. Only the most stubborn of women would be able to bear it. And Penny loved nothing so much as a challenge.

I have been anticipating Penny’s story with all of her amusing animals and sham sandwiches—it did not disappoint. I laughed, swooned, panted, and laughed some more. Truly, the best in the series.

Falling in lust at first sight was bad enough. This afternoon she’d tumbled into a whole river of desire, all the way up to her neck. Now Penny was drowning in a sea of sensuality.

The characters are wildly entertaining and the romance is undeniable. The pacing held my attention and the spicy scenes were well-placed. I highly recommend this series for a lighthearted, fun, and lusty afternoon.

Notable Moments
  • The Gabe, Ash, and Chase content>>> 😂🤣🥰😂😂😂
  • All of the adorable and hilarious animal content. Especially, human cat trees. OMG and the birthing scene. 🤭🤭🤭
  • The spicy scenes. 🫦

🎧 The audiobook was outstanding! I will absolutely be listening to this gem again very soon.
