i disliked the organization of the story on part 3!!! i think the chapters would have been better split between POVs and years of when things were happening. my only negative comment on this book šŸ˜Œ now that we are over that- i love the characters, the plot, the twist, the writing style, the incorporation of a writer in an extramarital relationship!!!  jojo slayed with this one! iā€™m a big fan of the film adaptation and i loved the book equally as much!!!!

It took me a while to get into this one. I thought I was just in a book rut but I think it's because it took until the last 120 pages for the second character to even show up. I think I would have liked this story more if the two different timelines began earlier. 250 pages were mainly spent in 1960s and it made the story drag on a lot more.

The accident was also a big aspect of the first few chapters but then it was never mentioned again. I found that kind of odd. Especially because Jenny didn't mention how much it affected her later on in life. It took a very long time to get to the major conflict in this book. There were parts I really enjoyed but other parts that really dragged.

It was a nice story. Curious to see how the Netflix adaptation stacks up.

This book has a wonderful writing style and an interesting story with a twist at the end.  I also liked the two main characters Jennifer and Ellie.

Jojo Moyes is the main responsible of me being a hopeless romantic.
Whenever I finish one of her books, I close it with a sight, hug it closely to my chest and stare at the ceiling with teary eyes for five minutes.
She has that effect on me.
