Was really struggling with this part way through but from the halfway mark it picked up and I particularly liked the last chapter from Jen's point of view (especially the not wanting kids sections, that spoke to me a lot!). Overall an ok read but not sure I'd recommend it!

i loved the hindsight that the final chapter from jen’s perspective provided for the rest of the story from andy’s perspective. dolly alderton wrote the male friendship experience so well, and explained the unspoken pressures of a relationship that i’ve experienced to a tee

Andy is insufferable. And I love an insufferable character
As a noted Dolly Alderton fangirl, you should take my review with a grain of salt. I pre-ordered this book to get the British edition and also because if you think I'm gonna wait for the US pub date for new Dolly... you don't know me.
I started this book the day I got it in the mail and honestly I STRUGGLED. I didn't expect a male perspective, especially from Alderton. I really didn't like Andy and found him intolerable for most of the book. He did eventually turn a corner for me, but it was a slog to get there. It's hard to root for someone who just keeps making bad decisions.
As other reviewers have said, the section at the very end from Jen's perspective is a delight. Dolly is just such a girls girl, this is really where she shines.
Four solid stars - not a perfect Dolly novel, but it scratches the itch.
