A quick read and it was something that set the scene for how well the MC is able to figure things out. A murder mystery party to get the brain working. It all leads into the series that follows.

Four stars because while it was good it wasn’t on par with books I think are 5 stars.

Significantly better than the final book in the trilogy. I like how it had references to things we can see in later books especially when they were in the car with Elliot and he stopped because he thought he saw Sal. I think it would’ve been fun to see how Elliot reacted when Pip said she had her project idea but obviously if you read this before the first book that’s a big fat spoiler. I also liked that Pip was so confident in her answer and was wrong I like her being humbled.

Side note: can Ant stop being a freak. Girl get Sal’s name out of your mouth how many times do you have to tell a joke that NOBODY laughs at before you take the hint?

I loved this small and quick mystery! It’s cool to see how Pip came to the idea of doing the Andie Bell case in the first place.
