had to give up on this book because it felt incredibly predatory and creepy to the point where I had to check if this book was written by a man because that’s exactly the vibe that it gives - a man that thinks lesbianism is hot and nothing else

3.5 stars! I went into this based on reviews and the authors incredible heart felt note thinking I might not like it. It had Mean Girls, Grease, & even She’s All That moments. Some parts felt unoriginal but overall the story was engaging and I found myself interested in knowing where the on and off relationship would land. A solid modern YA read.

3.5 stars. A good read, all about teenagers finding themselves and struggling with what’s expected of them. It’s a good book, just sometimes a bit too young for me.

Honestly ejoyed the book the whole way through, the only thing is that I felt that Brit was on the weeker end of character development
Basically, I would've liked a stronger change from the "mean girl" trope, I felt her personal struggle had an abrupt ending

Boring, very boring. This never ending inner monologue ruins everything, plus when you think there could be a good turn of plot it just becomes the usual high school teenage drama. Even the dialogues are very banal.
