Yours Truly, Cammie is an utterly fabulous military romance from SJ Sylvis. I am convinced SJ Sylvis could write any trope and any type of romance and I would eat it up gladly. I read this one in approximately one sitting. I kept laughing out loud at the banter and pranks that Cammie and Luke played on each other while simultaneously swooning and tearing up at their love story.
This is one I will be recommending to anyone who needs a beach read / one sitting read that packs a dose of emotions.
Thank you to SJ Sylvis for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

I just didn’t click with this book. I didn’t really feel the chemistry between Cammie and him. The pacing was a little weird and a lot of the time I felt like the book was dragging while at the same time, nothing happened. Overall, it was just okay. If you like military romances, then you’ll probably like this one a little more than I did.

I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story, first and foremost, is a military love story. A young woman who has been raised in a military home with a father who is a general and a brother who died as a marine; She has felt love and loss for those who she holds most dear. This is why Cammie has the rule that she does about not ever letting herself fall for a marine.

However, when a chance encounter happens between Cammie and Lucas at the hospital where Cammie is an emergency room nurse, they can immediately feel the attraction. Even worse, Lucas ends up living right next door. As they continue to fight their feelings for one another, they realize they are inexplicably drawn to one another. Who will give in first? Will Cammie continue to stand by her rules to protect her heart from any more pain or will Lucas break her down?

The characters in this story are not only vibrant with intriguing personalities, but they are also entirely relevant to our current time and age. With most families today being affected in some shape or form by knowing someone that has enlisted in the military, we can all relate on some level with the pain that those suffer from finding out their loved ones are lost forever.

There is a lot of humor throughout the story, with Cammie and Lucas playing pranks on one another as they try to deny their true feelings. But there are also amazingly steamy scenes as they break down their walls and let go. But – you’ll have to read it to find our for yourself!

An enjoyable emotional roller coaster with twists and turns that I was not expecting, but always with the satisfying romance ending that we all crave and need in our lives.

If RS Grey and Corinne Michaels had a love child that baby would be SJ Sylvis.

YOURS TRULY, CAMMIE is a sweet and spicy story featuring a feisty southern belle of a nurse, Cammie, and Luke a hot Marine that really knows how to pull a prank. There's a little bit of an enemies to lovers vibe. A little bit of a military romance vibe. A little bit of a second chance vibe. Lots of vibing going on here.

Grab yourself some sweet tea and get ready for some pranks, blind dates, and some serious sexual healing. Also, shout out to Ryan and Jojo-- they are the freaking cutest. #couplegoals

This was my first book by S.J. Sylvis and I loved it! This enemies to lovers rom-com was so much fun. Cammie has one rule - not to get involved with a Marine. When she meets Lucas in an exam room (trying to avoid a run-in with a previous blind date), she's not sure if she wants to smack him or kiss him.

The chemistry between Lucas and Cammie was just perfect. Both extremely likeable characters whose relationship with each other felt real and genuine. This book made me laugh so many times. There were pranks, witty banter, and a longing for each other that will make you swoon. I don't want to give too much away, but there were also some serious storylines which brought me close to tears.

Here is what you will get with this book:
✔️military romance
✔️enemies to lovers
✔️rom-com
✔️hilarious pranks

This frenemies to lovers novel was everything you love about a romcom. It had the laugh out loud moments, a sweet love story, a sassy best friend, and a hot guy. What else can you ask for? In addition to all of this, it was touching. The tears flowed several times with Cammie's reason for not dating a Marine. A great read!

"I crossed my arms over the front of my navy scrubs and squeezed my eyes shut. Maybe if I can't see them, they can't see me."

S.J. Sylvis is quickly becoming on of my favorite authors. Her books are beautiful and so amazing.

This book made me laugh and made me cry. I loved the romance and all of the characters. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading this book. It is definitely going to become one of my favorites of the year. I would have loved to read the whole thing in one sitting if life hadn't insisted on getting in the way this week.

Seriously, how many stars am I allowed to give this book again? It definitely deserves WAY more than 5!
