I read this a couple of days ago and when I first finished it I thought it was a great read, but a solid 4 star.
And then over the last two days I literally have not been able to stop thinking about this book and how different it was from anything I've ever read before. It has such fun and interesting takes on some classic mafia tropes, and then some new and unconventional ones as well. The characters were awesome and really well developed for something that was only 230-something pages. The romance was so well built and developed. I loved their ways of communicating and it was unlike anything else I've read. In romance novels, it is almost always the female mc who has physical insecurities while the man will have insecurities but its usually about his past, or an aspect of his character. In this it was reversed and it was him who had the insecurities with his appearance and the woman who made him feel handsome which is such a simple change that had such an amazing impact.
My one gripe was that although as readers we find out his traumatic backstory, they never have the conversation themselves which i feel would have strengthened their bond. But its the smallest gripe with a book that challenged all my usual notions of mafia and somehow made it wholesome! Honestly can't recommend this enough. Its not been able to leave my mind!

Me gustó mucho, igual que el primero.
Este tipo de libros los disfruto mucho cuando no quiero pensar demasiado y para desconectar. Fáciles de leer y sin mucho drama innecesario.

This book was EVERYTHING. Book 1 was great, but this was EXCELLENT! 4.5⭐️ Give me 8 of these… oh wait lol
