this book was so cute (in a dark romantic way) Mikhail was the opposite of a mafia man, he was so incredibly sweet and patient with Bianca knowing she was forced into the marriage. Bianca, oh how I loved her so much. She truly cared and loved Mikhail when he didn’t love himself and would never let him forget it. the plot was good but predictable. I did like how this book set up the plot for the third book in the series. Overall, I'm in love with Mikhail and Bianca and highly recommended this series!

This rating is heavily based on my soft heart, which melted right along with Mikhail’s icy barriers around his vulnerable heart. Watching those walls come down as his relationship with Bianca grew was something I adored. Seeing how they interacted with his daughter, especially watching this big man learn to accept being loved for who he truly is, made it even better. This series wasn’t what I expected when I first heard about it—it has this unique vibe that’s somewhere between a novella and a full-length novel. We get deep emotional vulnerability and healing, but it still skims the surface in other areas. Whatever it is, I’m starting to get used to the pacing of these stories, and I just hope each book keeps getting better.
