second in the series— another marriage of convenience and I loved it!! Makes me want a man from the Bratva… kidding (maybe??)

Mikhail is the definition of I hate everyone but you. Known as the Bratva’s butcher, you would never expect to see a soft, gentle side to him but man oh man is he so in love with Bianca.

The book gives beauty and the beast but dark romance. It’s such a quick read, a little over 200 pages and I devoured every line. I can’t wait to continue the series

I was astounded

I wasn’t expecting the baddie of what Bianca is! She’s my favorite! Especially with her ballerina experience! She loves Mikhail with no issue or anything else with other than the love he deserves! To see him as a father came a complete shock. I was definitely expecting a baby at the end and that wasn’t the case at all. He was already a loving father and his little Lena took to Bianca so well! It was perfect! I wanted so bad for Allegeria to get hers for luring Bianca out the house! But this story wrapped up beautifully!

I adore mikhail and Bianca. I thought he was so gentle and understanding and she created an environment where he felt safe enough to soften and be vulnerable.

Loved both the main characters.
It was such a touching love story.

Hated the FMC’s father, wish we could’ve gotten more of back story as to why he was so vile towards his daughter.

Otherwise the story unfolded beautifully 🤍

Im not sure about this.
I don’t really hate it but at the same time I don’t liked it as much. It sucks because conceptually, this could’ve been a phenomenal book. But I don’t know, a lot of things did not hit the mark for me. Everything happens too fast in this book series. This book is too fast paced, everything is developing too fast in a short period of time, which Im not a fan of. Sometimes, in books, I want things to have a breather and take their time to sort things out and to develop things gradually. That is what I wanted to happen in between the main characters, especially with Bianca’s character. But it didn’t really happen. We were first introduced to Bianca as this demure, a little bit feisty girl but for some reason she remained that way up until the end. There’s little character development. I wish we could’ve seen more of her, to break out of this character mold as Mikhail’s wife and a young Mom to Lena. We could’ve seen more of her insecurities and how to navigate her life after years of ballet and, at the same time, as someone with disabilities. But we got nothing, yall! Its like her disabilities are just there as a plot device, for the sake of representation or something.
And I hate to compare but this reminds me so much of Rina Kent’s Deception Trilogy and that one did the FMC’s character better and this one is just poor replica. Anyway, kudos for trying, I guess. But this just did not hit it for me. Also, too much “Head Hopping” in this one compared to the first book ….  And I fckn hated it.
