Very, very well done! It got a little drawn out / predictable 3/4 way through but overall it was unique, refreshing and well worth the time! I couldn’t put it down!!
As an aside, there were a few supporting mysteries that I didn’t understand….
- was Julie being killed a random act?
- why did Javier go along with things? and has he all this time?
- is everyone on the island like mid 30’s/40’s without families / daily life?? seems impractical and a smidge confusing.
- how did summer decide to take leo in? was it just like okay yep meet and you’re going to come live in my van?
- did anyone else get like lez vibes from summer but like the author chickened out and was like jk we’re sisters wooooo!!
- no one reported any of the other girls missing? summer and leo didn’t worry about trying to keep track of who they were for closure for them?
- no one followed up summer trying to initiate a missing persons report?
- everyone just accepted a tech billionaire must have accidentally lit himself on fire?? mr. genius sustainable energy??
seriously. what? but also, read this bc it was really quite good!
I have more questions but those are the most pressing, lol.

A little slow and I don't really like graphic sexual scenes, they just aren't necessary unless you're reading a romance or 50 shades... but the overall concept/story was good when it eventually got to it. I didn't dislike the characters as much as I thought I would from the books synopsis so that was a plus.
Wasn't a fan of the audio book though, apologies to the women reading but I just couldn't get on with the voices and accents. It took me until almost the end of the book to even realise it was two different people speaking as well.

“You Can Trust Me” has a flashy cover I couldn’t pass up. And it’s a perfect fit for this unputdownable and suspenseful read centered around the loyalty between the two strong female characters. Summer and Leo are characters you won’t easily forget!
Two talented con women are living off the money from their scams. Summer learned young how to pickpocket and she’s very good. I hate to say it, but I’m in awe of her talent! Leo likes a longer process. She uses her assets and talent to lure in wealthy men, slowly sucking out every penny she can get.
These two are such likable thieves! They enjoy the nomadic lifestyle they lead and are practically joined at the hip. They work jobs together and live together in a van that Summer customized herself.
Things go off track when Leo sets her eyes on a big fish. The date goes wrong once they get to his private island and she disappears. OMG…so much I didn’t predict! I was floored by how many secrets and twists Wendy Heard could cram into this story! The big reveal had me on the edge of my seat. The entire story was entertaining but it becomes nerve-racking as we reach the conclusion!
The only book I’ve read by the author was her debut and I loved it. I can’t imagine how I let her others slip by but I’m going to be more careful.
The audiobook has multiple narrators that are amazing in their roles!
