Definitely enjoyed the first half of the book the most since it explores Lucien's life before
the Somnovum and Vess get involved

The second half is ground already tread during the campaign although it adds more context to Lucien's character and his thought process through the final arc of C2, the descent into obsession and just how far he'd go for
Cognouza

I really wish the personalities of the philosophers had been explored, seeing as each of them were very different, what were their stories?
What was it like being melded into one conciousness and corruped from being in the astral sea for a thousand years? So much psychological and cosmic horror potential missed.

I really enjoyed the little additions of Lucien's non binary identity. Support trans rights and trans wrongs x

You need to be a fan of Critical Role and have seen all of Campaign 2 to read this. Otherwise you'll be lost.

Very interesting to get some backstory on Lucien!
SpoilerAnd even more interesting to see just how much of Mollymauk was in there after the resurrection. I KNEW IT.
It's quite well written, as well. I listened to the audiobook, and Robbie and the cast did excellent, as I knew they would. (Though I'm a little surprised nobody clued Robbie in on how to pronounce Fjord's name.)
