A quick and hot novella. Two things greatly annoyed me though (and reminded me that this was published back in 2016). First the mention of ‘mommy porn’. I mean what in the internalized misogyny is this?????? Second, the swipe a character takes at the Shades books. Really? Jealousy at a pop culture phenomenon is not a good look.

I just didn’t like either of the characters. It didn’t work for me. The audiobook was fine, except for the voice the female narrator used for the fmc.

This was good. I was here for the steamy vibes and that’s what I got. I don’t feel compelled to continue with the series and didn’t really connect with the characters at all but, again, I picked this up for steam and steam I received. So job well done.
